The Singha Corporate Golf Challenge tradition continued at Chiangmai Highlands Golf & Spa Resort this Sunday with the completion of Qualifying Round One in terrific weather and perfect golf course conditions.
Regularly referred to as Thailand’s most exciting golf team event the Singha Corporate Golf Challenge has sent winning teams to exotic golf destinations throughout Asia including China, Singapore, Australia, and Sri Lanka. The winner of the 2010 tournament series went to Hong Kong and the 2011 Champions will win a trip on Thai Airways to play golf in Vietnam.

“It was a very exciting start to the 2011 series, the competitors clearly enjoyed themselves on an immaculate golf course today” remarked, Derek Schade, Director of Golf at Chiangmai Highlands.
The list of tournament supporters includes Singha Beer, Toyota Motor (Thailand), Thai Airways International, Novotel Suvarnabhumi, Nation Multimedia Group, Sermsuk Co.,ltd (Pepsi), Advance Info Service (AIS), Swing Golf Magazine, Chorthip, Citylife Magazine, Golf Digest, Slim Up, Green Spot (Vitamilk), Khang Fai Fah - Chiangmai and Montgomerie Links Golf Club in Vietnam. Other supporters of the series include Muang Kaew Golf Course in Bangkok, host of the Bangkok Singha Corporate Golf Challenge events and Thai Airways, the airline that will deliver the 2011 champions to Vietnam for their Golf Holiday.

In the unique scoring format, 12 Teams advance from each qualifying round to the Grand Final scheduled for September. Teams may enter several rounds to try to earn a spot in the final where they will compete for the grand prize..
